The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) is a prominent landmark located in the heart of Nairobi, Kenya. Completed in the early 1970s, it was designed by Norwegian architect Karl Henrik Nøstvik in collaboration with Kenyan architect David Mutiso. The building is celebrated for its distinctive cylindrical tower and conical amphitheatre, drawing inspiration from traditional African forms. Standing at 105 metres, it was the tallest building in Nairobi for many years and remains an iconic feature of the city’s skyline.

KICC serves as Kenya’s premier venue for conferences, exhibitions, and international gatherings. It houses a large plenary hall, multiple meeting rooms, an amphitheatre, and an observation deck offering panoramic views of Nairobi. The centre has hosted numerous high-profile events, including UN conferences and regional summits, and continues to play a key role in positioning Kenya as a hub for business tourism and international diplomacy.
